Annual Award for Chemistry

The 2009 recipient of the Institute’s Annual Award for Chemistry (The Eva Philbin Lecture Series) is Professor Martyn Poliakoff. He will give a series of lectures in Cork (UCC), Dublin (ITT Dublin) and Galway (NUIG), on 23-25 March 2010, on the topic of Green Chemistry and Supercritical Fluids.

Boyle Higgins Lecture

The Boyle Higgins Lecture entitled “Diffusing Through Chemistry” will be given by Professor Seán Corish in Trinity College Dublin on Thursday 22 April 2010 at 6.00pm. The lecture will be followed by a reception. All members are invited to attend.

2010 AGM

The 61st AGM of the Institute will be held in Trinity College Dublin on Thursday 22 April 2010 at 7.30 pm. The AGM will be preceded by the Boyle Higgins Lecture at 6.00pm and a reception at 7.00pm. All members of the Institute are invited to attend.

Annual Congress and Dinner

The 2010 Annual Congress of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland with the theme ‘High Performance Computing at the Chemistry/Biochemistry Interface will take place in the National University of Ireland Galway on Friday 21 May 2010.
